Bonding

Working with a tooth-colored composite material, she can fix chips, cracks or gaps in teeth through bonding. This also can perfect a tooth’s shape or color for a more uniform appearance. 

Bonding process

First Dr. Thompson prepares the enamel to facilitate adherence of the bonding material.

Then she applies a putty-like resin to the tooth, molding and shaping it to match existing teeth and restore the tooth’s size and length if necessary.

Lastly, she uses a special light to cure the material.

Botox

To soften the muscles responsible for moderate-to-severe lines and wrinkles, including frown lines between the eyebrows and crow’s feet around the eyes, Dr. Thompson has undergone extensive training and certification in administering Botox. This temporary injection works beneath the skin’s surface to reduce muscle activity and relax lines for a smoother, more natural, and younger look. The effects last up to four months. She has an artistic eye, assessing the facial structure of each patient during a pre-treatment consultation.

Who is a good candidate for Botox?

Patients age 18 and over who are in good health, without any history of neuromuscular disease, are excellent candidates for this service.

Opalesence BooST Teeth Whitening

In pleasant-tasting mint and melon flavors, these pre-filled UltraFit trays lift stains from teeth at home. Available in concentrations of 10% to 15% hydrogen peroxide, they provide a professional level of whitening, removing years of stains and discoloration. The gel formula includes potassium nitrate, which has been shown to reduce sensitivity that may occur during the whitening process. Dr. Thompson feels this system is far superior to the results her patient would achieve with over-the-counter strips.

Enameloplasty

Using a high-speed buffing tool, she can correct misshapen or jagged teeth with imperfections. Smoothing a chip in a tooth’s surface is also available to render a more symmetrical appearance.

Veneers

Anyone looking to perfect the teeth you see in a smile may consider veneers. Dr. Thompson will take X-rays and discuss the possible outcomes of what your smile could look like. These custom-created shells go directly over existing teeth to conceal cracks, chips and other irregularities for an even look.
